Basketball Fun at the Union City Summer Recreation Program Here are some of our students enjoying the basketball sessions that are a part of the Union City Summer Recreation Program. Certainly, this will help them exercise and develop their skills during before the beginning of the next year school year in September.
Roosevelt Rocks Our 6th grade classes wanted to leave a little something behind before they move on to their respective middle school. They each painted a rock with a design of self-expression. All the rocks were placed along a tree in our front yard. The rocks will be a reminder of the 6th Grade Class of 2022.
A Special Tribute To Our Retirees The Roosevelt School Faculty and Staff put together a special message for our retirees. This was an exceptional production. Congratulations to everyone who produced this incredible tribute and to the retirees for their dedication to the Union City School District.

Cheering Our Runners At The Law Enforcement Torch Run On Friday June 10th, the Roosevelt School community cheered on runners, which included some of our very own 6th graders, for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run in honor of the Special Olympics.
Where The Mountain Meets The Moon Mrs. Machado and her 4th Grade Bilingual Students transformed their classroom into scenes from their novel "Where the Mountain Meets the Moon." Students used the application "Storyboard That" to recreate key scenes along with character illustrations and text evidence.
Global Running Day Event On Wednesday, June 1st, Roosevelt School held their annual Memorial Day/Global Running Day Event. The staff and students were joined by Veteran Lucy Del Gaudio, Veteran and motivational speaker Earl Granville along with Civilian Tom Tice representing Warriors Strong, Inc.
Thank You To The Union City PBA Local 8 For "Bike With A Cop" Thank you to the outstanding police officers from Union City PBA Local 8 for a fun-filled day at the "Bike With a Cop" event held at our school. It was an excellent opportunity for our community to spend time with the men and women of law enforcement that keep Union City safe every day. It was a festive day for everyone in attendance.
