On Wednesday, June 1st, Roosevelt School held their annual Memorial Day/Global Running Day Event. The staff and students were joined by Veteran Lucy Del Gaudio, Veteran and motivational speaker Earl Granville along with Civilian Tom Tice representing Warriors Strong, Inc.

Thank you to the outstanding police officers from Union City PBA Local 8 for a fun-filled day at the "Bike With a Cop" event held at our school. It was an excellent opportunity for our community to spend time with the men and women of law enforcement that keep Union City safe every day. It was a festive day for everyone in attendance.

COVID-19 vaccines are available today, June 1st, for children ages 5 and up from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at the Jefferson School, which is located at:
3400 Palisades Avenue, Union City, New Jersey.

A Roosevelt Rockstar is anyone from our school community who has done something exceptional or gone out of their way for another school community member. It can include anyone such as a student, a non-instructional staff member, a teacher or an administrator. What an amazing group of people to honor for their dedication to the Union City School District.

Please join the Union City PBA Local 8 and bring your bike for a festive day for all children ages 4-12. It is a free activity that will benefit the community and show solidarity with the Union City Police Department.

Please take a moment to read this important announcement from Superintendent Abbato concerning the recent tragedy in Texas, in addition to, reassuring our community that the district is always working with our Mayor Brian P. Stack along with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of students and staff in Union City.

We want to notify Roosevelt Parents that on Wednesday May 25th, there will be another COVID 19 vaccination clinic from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at our school. Let's continue to keep our community healthy.

Last week, Roosevelt School recognized the Union City Police Department during Police Appreciation Week. Students created messages to show their gratitude and they were included in a scrapbook. In addition, many posters and drawings were brought to the police department along with special treats for the officers.

While the Union City School District currently does not have a mask mandate, there are certain circumstances under which individuals are required to wear masks. With recent case numbers increasing, we are asking you to review the current guidelines.
