The Roosevelt School 6th Grade Moving Up Ceremony was an enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance. Best of luck to these students as they continue in their academic careers.

On June 19th, we celebrate the 159th Anniversary of the end of slavery in 1865 in the United States, which is known today as Juneteenth. It is a combination of the month of  'June' and the 'nineteenth' day that commemorates the happy news of newly-freed slaves in Texas at the end of the Civil War.

We have been continuing to integrate Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables into the schools in creative ways while increasing student interest in trying new foods. The Roosevelt School celebrated the May 2024 Students of the Month! We are so very proud of these incredible, well-rounded students. Their dedication is quite admirable and are an excellent example of the Union City School District.

Mrs. Coloma's 3rd Graders enjoyed taking turns being TEACHER OF THE DAY! They've created lesson plans, presentations, videos, worksheets, and class review games for 3rd grade curriculum content. We are all very, very proud of them!
