Roosevelt School was honored to host a Virtual Memorial Day Assembly today. In attendance were Veterans Lucy DelGuadio, Earl Granville, Rick Kolberg, Nikki Verneuille, Greg Hacke, Jonathan Lopez, and Christopher Martinez. The Veterans joined virtually from all parts of the country along with Roosevelt 5th & 6th graders, Principal Ms. O'Connell, and Roosevelt Faculty. They shared many inspirational messages with the students about how to overcome challenges. They were all such meaningful words to hear during this unique moment in history.
Veteran Lucy DelGuadio challenged the Roosevelt students to take the time to reflect this weekend. Reflect on how to give back to the community, and try to connect. Even if it's a smile, we all need that human connection.
